Relay Card Interfaces

This section describes the Relay card interfaces.

Table 1. Relay Card Interfaces
Interface Connector Description

REAL TIME CLOCK

A place for the real-time clock A00.9. The circuit board must be used unpowered, and it must be programmed after the installation of the clock.

CYLINDER/ BUTTON2

GND

An input for a lock cylinder or a potential-free point signal (for example, an opening button). The button activation controls relay K2 in the Roller door mode. When the cylinder is connected, a valid opening activates relay K2. A cylinder can be used in the Basic configuration and in the Impulse relay mode.

Connected to the yellow-black bus on the cylinder.

  • I0 = yellow
  • GND = black

MODE SELECT

1

Use the dip switches to select the relay mode, that is, the behaviour of the relay outputs described in the Relay Mode Dip Switches table. Dips 1-3 can also be programmed, in which case the dip positions on the Relay card are overwritten. Dip 4, however, must always be in the correct position on the Relay card.

BUTTON1

GND

An input connector for a potential-free point signal (for example, button 1). The button activation controls relay K1 in the Roller door mode, when a valid key is in the Key reader. In the Toggle, Impulse and Key hold modes, relay K1 is controlled in line with the selected relay mode.

INPUT

GND

Input connector for potential-free point signal. The input can be used to control a conditional access right. Open = Access right blocked. Closed = Access right permitted.

EXT IN
NET BOX GND A connector for connecting to a Door Module within the S10 Online System.

Connected to the cylinder interfaces.

  • GND = GND
  • DATA = L1 or L2

KEY READER

GND

Ground

1-WIRE

1-WIRE communication bus. Connected to the corresponding connectors on Key reader A10.56 or A10.42. A10.42: black=GND, red=1-WIRE.

POWER ON

A voltage output for controlling Key reader A10.56 ONLINE LED, when the Relay card is powered.

STAT1 G

A voltage output for controlling Key reader A10.56 green STAT1 G LED, when the key is approved.

STAT1 R

A voltage output for controlling Key reader A10.56 red STAT1 R LED, when the key is rejected.

STAT2 G

An output voltage 3.3 VDC, which follows the status of relay K1. Can be connected for controlling the A10.56 green STAT2 G LED, indicating the status of output K1.

STAT2 R

GND

Ground

RELAY K2

NO

The relay output K2 contacts. The output is controlled, depending on the relay configuration and the relay mode, with a key, opening button BUTTON1 or BUTTON2, and a lock cylinder. The output default impulse length is 30 seconds.

COM

RELAY K1

NO The relay output K1 contacts. The output is controlled, depending on the relay configuration and the relay mode, with a key or opening button BUTTON1. The output default impulse length is 8 seconds.
