Preparing N500 Net Bridge and Connected Bus Devices for Deployment

This section describes how to prepare the N500 Net Bridge and connected bus devices for deployment.

Proceed as follows.

  1. Check that all devices connected to the Net Bridge have been connected according to the instructions and that the bus configuration is in accordance with the instructions.
  2. Turn the Operating Mode switch to the SETUP position, the switch to the ON position, wait for a while (approx. 5 seconds), and then turn the switch to the OPERATING position.

The internal test procedure will now start.

  3. Observe the green FW/DEVICES light for approximately one minute while the Net Bridge saves the bus configuration.

    Check that:

    1. The green FW/Devices light flashes as many times as there are devices on the main bus.

    2. After a pause, the green FW/Devices light flashes as many times as there are devices on the reader buses.

    3. After a pause, the green FW/Devices light flashes as many times as there are locks connected to the Door Modules.

When the bus configuration has been saved successfully, the FW/Devices light will switch to a solid orange colour, the POWER, RS-485 and SYSTEM STATUS will be a solid green, and the ONLINE light will be red.

  4. Check that the green POWER, DEVICE and BRIDGE lights are illuminated in all Door Modules.
  5. Check that the STATUS light is orange on all connected readers.
  6. The Net Bridge and its connected devices are now ready for deployment programming.
  7. Place the network module on the floor plan.

The procedure is the same as for placing locks on a floor plan. For more information, see Placing Locks onto a Floor Plan.
