iLOQ welcomes VIP guests to Expo 2020 Dubai
A major goal of the organizers of Expo 2020 Dubai was to deliver one of the most sustainable World Expos ever. Sustainability has been ingrained in everything they have done, and they expect the same commitment from all partners and exhibitors.
The event is currently attracting visitors from all over the world, and iLOQ is proud to be showcasing its own sustainable solutions. We are not just an exhibitor at the Expo, the entire Finland pavilion is living proof of our commitment to sustainability. It is fully equipped with our battery- and cable-free access management solutions to ensure smooth and secure access for personnel and visitors to the pavilion. And, thanks to our standard open application programming interface (API), there is a high level of automation and integration with the KONE elevator system in the pavilion to further enhance the whole flow of people.
We recently hosted an event at the Expo for VIP guests from both the public and private sectors and Marianne Nissilä, Finnish Ambassador to the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain. About 40 CEOs, Senior Managers, Project Managers and Engineers from the telecom, utility (electricity and water), transportation, police, logistics, ports and residential segments were keen to learn more about the advantages of battery-free access management solutions. The focus was on our mobile access solution which eliminates the need for physical keys completely by using a smartphone as both a key and a power source to open locks. With this solution, access rights are sent in real time to an app running on a smartphone. These rights can be updated and cancelled in real time. For the utility industry, in particular, this ensures only the right people have access to the right places at the right times. It keeps security levels high, minimizes administration time and costs and reduces the environmental impact of excess travelling to pick up and return keys.

The Finland pavilion was a fantastic place to showcase it.
