Part 1: Onboarding

Onboarding is a critical part of organizational success, but, unfortunately, it can often be overlooked.

At iLOQ, we invest heavily in onboarding. After a new colleague has been hired, but before they join us in the workplace, we keep in close contact with them and send digital pre-arrival material to ensure they are well prepared. First impressions matter and there is only one chance to make a good first impression. That’s why we make the newest members of the iLOQ family feel warmly welcomed, appreciated and valued from the very start. We make sure that we are ready for their first day by preparing the working environment, giving them the right tools to succeed, leaving a welcome gift and greeting them with lots of friendly faces.

The onboarding doesn’t stop after the first day. We are dedicated to supporting our employees throughout a hopefully long and productive career with iLOQ. Personalized training programs help them to thrive in their current roles and ensure that they develop to their full potential in the future. A certain amount of the onboarding process takes part in our new e-learning environment. This gives employees the opportunity to study in a flexible and versatile way according to their own schedules.

In the beginning of 2019, we introduced iLOQ Days – a 3-day induction to the company held at our head office in Oulu. The interesting and intensive sessions include learning about our history and strategy, introduce our marketing, financial, operations and sales processes and offer a deep dive into product training. They have proved to be both very informative and a lot of fun. And some nice group activities help us to get to know each other better and reinforce the family spirit that exists in the company.
