Smarter spaces thanks to iLOQ and DeskNow

The integration between iLOQ’s access management solution and the DeskNow workspace management platform enables fast and efficient access to shared working spaces throughout Europe.

Founded in Germany in 2020, DeskNow is an online workspace management platform to manage offices, make all assets bookable and digitize any type of workspaces across Europe. The multilingual platform is available 24/7 via the company’s website or app.

After the pandemic and the rise in popularity of working from home, companies are reconsidering how and where their employees work. This newfound flexibility has led to a greater need for temporary flexible workspaces. Now with companies, hotels, and other premises having excess space available, it has made sense financially for them to use the platform to rent out this space.

The platform is also ideal for companies who need a quick and reliable way to apply a modern work strategy. For example, to make their spaces bookable and accessible for people coming in for sales meetings or workshops from other cities or even countries. The platform includes payment options and a 360-degree view of the space easily available for everyone to use.

Integration with iLOQ

The key benefit of the platform is that it offers users access to spaces around the clock. Security is therefore a high priority with renters needing to ensure only authorized people have access to the right places at the right times.

Previously, a visitor would only have access during normal working hours. They would have to report to reception and would have been issued with a physical key. In this case, it is impossible to control who has that key or ensure that they return it at the end of their rental period.

Integration with iLOQ solves these security issues and makes smooth, efficient, and secure access a possibility.

Unique collaboration

iLOQ offers a battery-free mobile access solution. No physical keys are needed. Premises access rights are sent to an app running on an NFC-enabled smartphone. The phone acts as a key and a power supply to open the lock making it a smart and sustainable solution. 

The platform is very quick, easy, and intuitive to use: 

  1. Choose the city 
  2. Choose the schedule for the booking  
  3. Choose from the office/spaces available (the platform shows which have iLOQ installed 
  4. Enter personal information, such the visitor’s name and mobile phone number
  5. Press ‘Book’. The visitor immediately receives a mobile key to their smartphone which they use with iLOQ’s app 
  6. When they arrive at the reserved space, they can enter 24/7 and move smoothly around the premises using the mobile key on their phone. Even if the office or space booked is on the 2nd floor of a building, access rights are granted, for example, for the main entrance, stairwell door, elevator, and even for a storage area to keep devices if a booking is for more than one day.
