Partnerships that unlock potential

Innovation, technological performance and teamwork. These three key words sum up iLOQ as a company and perfectly describe the dedication of our personnel. They are also the words that describe the two strong partnerships we have formed for 2018 and 2019.

The first partnership is already ‘on the road’ and making headlines in the rally world. iLOQ joined forces with Teemu Suninen, a driver for the M-Sport Ford Team, for the duration of the 2018–2019 World Rally Championship (WRC).

At the tender age of 24, Teemu is full of drive and ambition, and is already recognized as one of the sport’s brightest young talents. Since his WRC debut in 2014, Teemu has gone from strength to strength. Together with his co-driver, Mikko Markkula, Teemu has secured many podium finishes in WRC2 and scored his first WRC podium coming third in Rally Portugal in May 2018.

Dedication and commitment

Providing the perfect vehicle that can continue to perform consistently and reliably is an ongoing process. It also takes years of dedication and training to learn how to get the most out of it in a wide range of unpredictable conditions. This same kind of commitment is shown by iLOQ. We work hard every day to pioneer the technology that transforms mechanical locking systems into highly functional and extremely secure digital and mobile access management solutions.

In addition to Teemu’s natural driving skills, the secret of his success also heavily relies on the communication with his co-driver. It’s Mikko’s job to let Teemu know what to expect around each bend and over each crest at full speed during the race. If the communication isn’t perfectly clear, there could be dire consequences.

This same kind of communication is a cornerstone of the service provided by iLOQ’s employees. We listen to the demands of your industry and are committed to helping you find the most secure, adaptable and cost-effective solutions.

The iLOQ logo can be clearly seen on Teemu’s car, helmet and racing suit. Look out for him in the upcoming rallies. But you’ll have to be fully awake as he’s breathtakingly fast!

A winning team

iLOQ has teamed up with the Champions Hockey League (CHL) – an ice hockey tournament featuring top teams from the first-tier leagues of countries throughout Europe.

CHL has its roots in a pre-season European club tournament established in 2006. Since then, it has grown in the number of teams competing, popularity and fan base. The 2018/19 season kicks off on 30 August with defending champions from Finland – JYP Jyväskylä – facing Slovak champions HC05 Banská Bystrica. 32 teams will be fighting it out to be crowned champions on 5 February 2019.

This new agreement with the largest pan-European ice hockey tournament has digital activation at its heart. As part of the partnership, iLOQ will become the Official Presenter of the CHL app. Other digital activations include providing fans with access to pre-game locker room streaming for selected games, as well as digital player cards that can be ‘unlocked’.

Digitalization is the foundation of iLOQ’s digital and mobile access management solutions. iLOQ S10’s innovative technology enables electronic locking without the need for batteries or cables. While iLOQ S50 is the world’s first and only NFC-powered lock cylinder that harvests energy for unlocking from a smartphone.

The iLOQ logo will be clearly visible during CHL games under the ice and all around the arena, including as the backdrop behind the infamous penalty bench. A short video will also be played on the ‘jumbotron’ screen throughout the game.

Much more than brand awareness

Sponsoring a great driver and the exciting CHL tournament is so much more than just making our logo visible and building brand awareness. It gives us the chance to create exclusive experiences for our customers, partners and stakeholders.

There’s the traditional hospitality aspect, but with an iLOQ twist. We’re not talking about simply offering a bit of food and drink at an event. Teaming up with Teemu Suninen, for example, opens opportunities to get close to the exhilarating world of rallying. There will be chances to meet Teemu and see first-hand what a rally team needs to do to stay at the top of their game. At CHL games, there will be unusual activities, such as being selected to deliver the puck to the ice in a unique ‘unlocking’ ceremony. And all of this provides great content for social media channels – a win-win situation all round.

And what better way for us to get closer to you and find out how we can help you succeed, than in a relaxed, sociable environment. It helps us to create the long-term partnerships based on trust and openness that we value in iLOQ.

We’re looking forward to exciting times ahead on the rally trail (follow Teemu Suninen’s progress), on the ice (read more about CHL) and in the business world (read more about iLOQ). Keep following this blog for the latest news.
