Anchored within an Institution composed of two schools, a college, a high school and a higher education center, the Lycée Saint-Pierre in Bourg-en-Bresse, France, strives to meet the expectations of everyone, students and families alike, by welcoming young people with kindness and high standards, in a framework that will facilitate long-term success.

About the project

The facility includes 519 high school students and 95 teachers and staff all needing access on a daily basis. With the old mechanical locking solution, it was difficult to manage who had access to which facilities and when. And, if a key was lost, it was expensive and time consuming to ensure that security levels were maintained.

The solution

The high school chose to retrofit the entire premises with iLOQ’s digital-key-based locking solution. To date, 150 locks have been installed.

Teachers and staff don’t have to carry around huge bunches of keys. One digital key contains all the access rights they need to move around the entire school premises. And there’s no need to worry about who has the keys and what happens if one gets lost or stolen. Everything can be seen in the easy-to-use administration software. Access rights can be quickly updated remotely and in real time when needed and lost keys immediately cancelled to keep security levels high.
