iLOQ App update 1.9 enhances user experience

A new version of the iLOQ App for iOS and Android has been released, bringing improvements designed to make everyday access smoother and more intuitive. 

A more intuitive lock-opening experience 

One of the most visible enhancements in this release is an improved lock-opening interface that gives users clearer feedback during the unlocking process. 

Unlike traditional battery-powered smart locks, iLOQ’s battery-free NFC technology uses energy harvested from the user’s smartphone to power the unlocking process. This requires the phone to be held against the lock briefly during communication between the phone and the lock. To improve the user experience, the iLOQ App now provides clear real-time visual feedback, including a progress bar, that shows exactly how the unlocking process is progressing and when the phone can be removed. This results in a smoother, more predictable, and user-friendly access experience.

NFC finder: Helping users find the right spot 

Another important part of the lock-opening experience is the NFC finder, which helps users identify the exact location of the NFC antenna on their smartphone. As the antenna position varies between phone models, the NFC finder shows users where to hold their phone against the lock for the fastest and most reliable communication. 

We continuously update our database with new devices and antenna locations as new smartphones enter the market. If you notice that your phone’s NFC antenna location is missing or inaccurate, you can easily let us know through the Send feedback function in the iLOQ App.
