iLOQ scores again: Smart-locking solution installed in FC Volendam’s stadium
iLOQ scores another goal for security by installing its battery-free mobile access solution in yet another football stadium. This time in the Kras Stadion – the home ground of Dutch Eredivisie football team FC Volendam.
To enhance stadium security and make day-to-day operations more efficient, FC Volendam has deployed iLOQ’s battery-free, smartphone-based digital locking solution across all accessible areas of the stadium.
In the first stage of the deployment, more than 128 smart locking cylinders have been installed in the club’s more than 7000-seater stadium. This mobile access solution eliminates the need for physical keys. Staff and players simply use iLOQ’s app running on their NFC-enabled smartphone to open the locks. It also eliminates the need for batteries. The power needed to read access rights and open locks comes from the NFC induction of the smartphone.
In addition, four iLOQ Online wall-mounted readers, with PIN code functionality, provide controlled access for external suppliers and temporary service teams, such as food and beverage providers and maintenance personnel. All access rights are fully traceable, ensuring complete accountability.
The entire locking solution is centrally managed with iLOQ’s easy-to-use software platform. Access rights are created, updated and cancelled as needs change and as new facilities are added.
