iLOQ wins Brand of the Year 2025 competition

This year’s winner of the Central Chamber of Commerce’s Brand of the Year competition was iLOQ. The story of iLOQ, a developer of digital access management solutions, began more than twenty years ago when the company’s founder, Mika Pukari, developed a principle where the energy needed to open an electromechanical lock is generated by motion of inserting the key into the lock.

The jury’s criteria for choosing iLOQ included that the company patented its unique innovation early on in its history and knew how to commercialise and productize it.

“The iLOQ brand has changed the entire industry because the new innovation has been commercialised and productized. Internationalism has been at the heart of the brand from the very beginning. In particular, we want to focus on training of partners and in-house support services with partners playing a key role together with the iLOQ sales team. The company itself rarely has direct contact with the end user, so partners play a key role. The iLOQ brand has excellently realised its role as part of the overall customer experience,” states Minna Aalto-Setälä, Chair of the Brand Council and Senior Expert at the Central Chamber of Commerce.

“We are very excited about the Brand of the Year award. A warm thank you goes to everyone involved with the iLOQ brand and our products, including our staff, partners, customers and other stakeholders. Not forgetting all the users of our products globally, in whose daily lives iLOQ is involved. Together we have built the iLOQ brand and our story for more than twenty years, and taken it beyond Finland’s borders,” states Heikki Hiltunen, CEO of iLOQ.
