In case of emergency or malice
So, when disaster strikes and the power grid goes offline, do our digital locks also stop working or rely on backup power generators? Well, no. Our technology is not reliant on either batteries or mains power. You are also not reliant on having network coverage to gain access with an accredited key or mobile device. This means that the right people will be able to have the needed instantaneous access to facilities in even the most extreme and unfortunate situations. In some cases we are literally talking about life or death situations.
Also, the locks are isolated and ensured to work as intended when there is no network coverage available. Overall, we have eliminated all possible dependencies on external features beyond our control. Our locks are also virtually tamper-proof with no cabling or power sources that could be susceptible to deliberate or unintentional physical damage.
In any and all external conditions
We’ve also obviously tested all our products to deliver long-term reliable performance in both extreme hot and cold environments, wet or dry, day or night. We even sent one of our iLOQ S50 padlocks into the stratosphere and back to see how it worked after 26,765 m of altitude and a temperature of -64°C.
